Me in Toledo

It's been so long.

Since the weather got nice, I try to spend minimal time indoors unless completely neccessary. That is why I have been absent for so long.

Work has been busy, doing a complete re-design of our current website: www.metricmetal.com which is Parker Steel Co. in Toledo, Ohio. It's funny how the site never really bothered me that much until I learned web design. Now, I can't believe we waited so long to do this. The new site should be up in less than 3 months. We are designing it in the background of the current site. The new site will have shipping maps, printable product pages, information (seo)pages, cool little tools like metric conversion calculators, and a sleek new overall look (among other things.)

Also, I created and published my first real website! Check it out at: www.davidandyola.com THis is a site I buiilt for my very good friend, Yola. She is getting married and as my gift to the couple, I designed and printed the invites, and created a wedding website. On the site you can view pictures of the couple, read about their backgrounds, their engagement, "meet" their families, see theur new home, make hotel reservations, get detailed directions to the ceremony, and R.S.V.P. to the event on a form.

To anyone creating a website and needing a hosting company, USE GODADDY.COM. They are the best!!!! Easy to use, super helpful, and 24 hour customer care. I LOVE THEM. Also their prices are great. It only cost a total of $44 for 1 year of hosting, 1 domain name, and plenty of email.

Anyway, Thats what I've been up to, as well as spending quality time at El Camino, for margaritas, going up to the Islands (Kelly's and Put in Bay), riding my bike, and looking for a house to buy!!!! P.S. If you haven't checked out St. Georges Pub on top of Manos downtown, do. I love that place.
